Why Birds Matter More Than We Think: Health, Happiness, and the Human Connection to Nature- In a fast-paced, increasingly disconnected world, many people are searching for simple, meaningful ways to improve their mental and physical well-being. Surprisingly, one of the most effective—and accessible—solutions may be right outside our windows. This engaging and thought-provoking presentation explores the growing body of research showing how birds and birdwatching can positively impact our health. Studies have found that even brief encounters with birds—seeing a flash of color, hearing a song—can reduce stress, improve mood, and enhance overall well-being. Birdwatching has also been linked to increased focus, cognitive function, and long-term mental health benefits
